Short answer: Any plugin adds some overhead. Especially membership/LMS pages that show user-specific data and can’t always be fully cached. But BricksMembers goes the extra mile to keep your website as fast as possible.

What we do about it: BricksMembers is built to minimize that overhead with optimized database tables, batched Query Loop checks & data loading, a per-page snapshot cache (each value computed/read once), and conditional enqueues (no jQuery at all, no extra CSS/JS you don’t need). In some of our tests, this has cut access/progress queries by up to ~96%, so many sites see equal or much better DB load than with legacy plugins, but ultimate results depend on your hosting, and other plugins.

No coding required! BricksMembers integrates directly with Bricks Builder’s visual interface. Use dynamic tags, conditional logic, and query filters all through Bricks’ familiar drag-and-drop interface. Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS is recommended for Bricks Builder though as it’s more like a developer-oriented page builder, and that’s a good thing.

Yes, BricksMembers includes migration tools. We support imports and exports of users and content from most major membership plugins with our Migration Assistant. However, we can’t cover every single plugin and case. So it depends on where you’re coming from.
