Native eCommerce + AI Studio
Choose Tutor LMS if you don't use Bricks Builder, want a free starter version to begin with, need extra regional payment gateways such as Razorpay, Mollie, Paystack or Paddle, or want AI Studio course generation.
- Works with Elementor, Divi, vanilla WP, any theme
- Extra regional gateways (Razorpay, Mollie, Paystack) + guest checkout
- Google Classroom integration + AI Studio course generation
Adds community, chat, and automation.
Choose BricksMembers if you want complete control over how your membership and LMS site looks. Because it's built natively for Bricks, membership, courses, payments, drip and access all run on Bricks' own dynamic data and conditions, with custom elements added only where there's no native way, so every member-facing page is yours to design, with no fixed templates or locked layouts. It's a true all-in-one (membership, LMS, payments, community, automation) available on annual plans or a one-time lifetime license if you'd rather not pay every year.
- All-in-one: membership, LMS, payments, community, drip, certificates, chat, gifting, automation. No add-ons needed
- Because it's native to Bricks Builder, you design every member-facing page yourself, with full control over the layout and styling, with no fixed templates or locked layouts in the way.
- Lifetime $497 one-time for 100 sites instead of forever-recurring yearly fees (60-day money-back guarantee, no free trial)

The Migration Center handles the heavy lifting
A guided, dry-run-first wizard at BricksMembers › Migration Center in wp-admin. It scans your site, builds an import plan, runs in safe chunks, and offers rollback if anything looks off.
What it migrates automatically
- Course, lesson, and topic structure (with hierarchy preserved)
- Post content, titles, excerpts, and status
- Custom post meta fields (carried as-is)
- Required-level assignments (creates matching access rules)
- User level assignments and progress tracking
- Generic CSV exports of users, levels, courses, and progress
What you'll rebuild manually
- Quizzes from the source plugin (rebuild in BricksMembers' quiz module)
- Certificates and certificate issuance records
- Drip schedules from the source plugin
- Email automations (use BricksMembers' automation tab)
- For Tutor LMS specifically: courses, topics, lessons import as structure. Quiz attempts, Tutor's native subscription billing tokens, and earning analytics don't transfer.
From TutorLMS
Tutor uses its own custom post types: `courses` for courses, `topics` for sections, and `lesson` for lessons. The Migration Center imports all three with hierarchy preserved. Quiz structure imports as BRM quizzes; quiz attempts and certificates do not transfer.
Tutor's native subscriptions / memberships create level requirements in BRM, but active subscription IDs stay on Tutor until re-onboarded. If you use Tutor's frontend dashboard for instructors, plan to point students at BRM's Instructor Frontend Builder instead: Tutor's dashboard pages don't carry over.
Common questions: BricksMembers vs TutorLMS
Is BricksMembers cheaper than TutorLMS?
Year one, Tutor Individual is $199/yr and BricksMembers Creator is $97/yr (1 site). On lifetime, Tutor Individual is $499 (1 site), Tutor Business is $999 (10 sites), Tutor Agency is $1,999 (50 sites). BricksMembers lifetime is $497 (100 sites). For multi-site, BRM lifetime is materially cheaper: basically the same price as Tutor's 1-site lifetime, but for 100 sites.
Can I migrate from TutorLMS to BricksMembers?
Yes. The Migration Center imports Tutor's `courses`, `topics`, and `lesson` post types with hierarchy preserved. Quiz structure imports as BRM quizzes; quiz attempts, certificates, and Tutor-native subscription IDs don't transfer. Level requirements migrate; Stripe / Authorize.Net subscriptions stay on Tutor until re-onboarded through BRM's checkout.
Does TutorLMS have a free version?
Yes: Tutor LMS Free is available on the WordPress.org plugin directory. The paid tiers add subscriptions, coupons, AI Studio, additional gateways, and the deeper integrations. BricksMembers does not have a free version; it has a 60-day money-back guarantee.
Does TutorLMS work with Bricks Builder?
Tutor works on any builder, but it does not provide Bricks-native conditions or dynamic data tags. Tutor's pages are template-driven and override files are the standard customization path. BricksMembers exposes every member state as a Bricks condition or dynamic tag, so pages are built in the Bricks editor.
Does TutorLMS have AI?
Yes: Tutor AI Studio generates course outlines, lessons, and quizzes using your OpenAI API key. BricksMembers does not ship AI course generation. If AI authoring is part of your workflow, Tutor wins on that axis.
